Imagination is the beginning of creation. You imagine what you desire, you will what you imagine and at last you create what you will.
George Bernard Shaw, Irish dramatist & socialist (1856 - 1950)
I have been having very weird dreams about Cadbury's cream eggs lately. I think it is with all the Easter hype and those crazy adverts in which suicidal eggs take their lives. It doesn't help when my grandma gave me 24 cream eggs for eater...full size too. I don't even like them, but I did still ate them. They all start off with my friends and me at a theme park. All the rides are made of egg shells (chocolate ones of course) and we are heading towards a sling shot. I am finding the whole experience a little daunting but my friends all seem to find the fair ground scary music amusing. Eggs are catapulting themselves downwards into the ground and people are cheering when they splat. My so called mates decide that I should follow suit and see how much I splat. I am not happy about the situation and I feel rather upset that me friends want to see my insides on the floor. Anyway, for some reason I decided to take up the task and I step into the seat. Ride owner...who is a really dirty looking cream egg straps me in and I say my final words. Cream egg man presses the button and instead of me splatting into the ground, I find myself gunged with the inside of a cream egg and my friends have all become olives. Now I am as confused as you, olives? The only way I can explain this is my regular occurring compulsion to buy olives on mass, I crave them dearly and I must have had an urge during my much needed beauty sleep!
In the dream dictionary, it says that to see or eat olives, symbolizes contentment and faithful friends. It also refers to immortality.
I went to see the Corteeners last night and me and my fella went out for a meal before hand as we have to try and be civilised now and again to make up for our lack of maturity. Any way, the Corteeners where playing at Newcastle University and it was a really good night. That night, even though slightly intoxicated, I dreamt of giant badges stuck on all of my clothes. I remember getting ready in my dream and I couldn't move as I was pinned against the wall by this monster badge saying 'Peace is sweet man!' I was like, OK but you are keeping me captive against my own will. The badge then replied: “I can if I want, it's a free world.” Not only did the contradictory phrase annoy me, I realised that the badge was getting stuck into my pistachio nuts that were neatly placed on the side counter. Damm that badge, the messy, metal nuisance.
I found in a web dream dictionary, to see nuts in your dream, signifies craziness or confusion. It may also refer to someone who is "nuts" or someone who is driving you crazy. You may be approaching a waking situation all wrong and need to look at it from a different perspective. You may also be trying to get to the core of a matter or situation.
Well that does relate to me, so I think the dream dictionary is right this time! Here are some nuts for you to drool at
I was at the launch of a new campaign for Young Enterprise North east when on wrok experience. Yeah Yeah, It sounds boring but I was rather visual so I knew there was going to be some exciting things to dream about. The main hook of the campaign was the ten foot 'One Day' letters that will be touring the North east to explain the new campaign. Well, that night I dreamt these humongous yellow letters where my house. Yes, I lived in a word. Hard to visualise I know, but living in a letter was rather good. I have been house hunting lately so this may have had an effect on the dream material but I never realised how good letter living would be. The letter A was my favourite as it had a roof and sturdy sides. The letter 'O' was the worst as it had a leaky roof and smelt of damp.
I have started to notice a very strong correlation between reality and my dreams! This scares me a little as if I see something during the day I almost certainly dream of it later. Today I was on the bus and I saw a man with a massive fish in a wheel barrow. To my surprise I was not dreaming and this was reality. Sure enough, when I went to sleep later I found myself inside the fish. I am a little weary of fish so when I woke up in my dream to find I was stuck inside a huge cod, I screamed a little. (I can remember feeling something really slimy and cold. I didn't realise until the morning that I had fallen asleep with my bath towel on my damp, over conditioned hair (explains the slime thank god!) )The cod was the king of all cods and he was rather handsome for a fish. He swam with grace and pride with me in his mouth for ages. We went all around the world and more until he dropped me off in my Gran's bathroom. I remember feeling rather sad that our journey was over so the next day to celebrate my imagination I had fish and chips from the chippy.
Here is what I found in a dream dictionary.. To see live fish in a dream is very much good luck unless the fish was carp, in which case it is a warning against subjecting yourself by your actions to criticism. A fish swimming in clear water is an omen that you will acquire personal wealth and power. but to see a dead fish as in a market is an omen of disappointment. Cooking and eating fish, except carp, indicates your present endeavors will meet with success.
I couldn't find anything about being in a fish, I must just be a little weird?? Who would have thought.
